Dr. Kowalski is an Associate Professor of Oncology and Biostatistics,
with her primary appointment in the Division of Biostatistics in the Department
of Oncology. She received her Ph.D. in Statistics in 1998
from the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Statistics. Prior to
graduating, she was the recipient of an Andrew Mellon Pre-doctoral
Fellowship. After graduating, she was the recipient of a
Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard University. Dr.
Kowalski's research interests are in various areas of statistics and
biostatistics, including more recently, stochastic linear hypotheses for nonparametric
inference of high-dimensional, genetic and genomic data analyses,
U-statistics, genetic distance measures, computational biology,
estimation of quasi-species, asymptotics, longitudinal data analysis,
measurement error.
