Giovanni Parmigiani, Ph.D.
 Dr.
Parmigiani is a Ph.D. biostatistician, interested in developing
statistical and computational methodologies for biomedical data,
with a focus on medical decision-making, cancer genetics, and genomics.
Examples of Dr. Parmigiani's projects are BRCAPRO, a model and
software for genetic counseling of families at high risk of breast
and ovarian cancer, and a computational approach for molecular
classification of cancer using gene expression profiles. He recently
published a book on Modeling
in Medical Decision Making and is close to completing an edited
volume on Microarray
Data Analysis. He is the Chair of the Risk Analysis Section
of the American Statistical Association and member of the Editorial
Board of Biometrics, and Medical Decision Making.
