Xiaobu Ye earned her M.D. degree from Zhejiang Traditional Medicine Institute in China (a five-year program) and completed her residency training in China. She obtained her Master of Science degree in Biostatistics from the Department of Biometry and Epidemiology at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is certified in acupuncture (Diplomate in Acupuncture) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

For the past seven years, Xiaobu Ye has worked as a biostatistician and currently is a senior biostatistician in the Division of Oncology Biostatistics. With her dual knowledge in biostatistics and Chinese traditional medicine, she is particularly interested in cancer clinical trials, complimentary and alternative medicine in cancer research, and clinical cancer research. Working under Dr. Piantadosi, Xiaobu Ye is a biostatistical consultant for the Center for Complimentary and Alternative Medicine at Johns Hopkins.
